US Virgin Islands Nurses
The Virgin Islands Board of Nurse Licensure accepts courses from CE Leaders.
State Requirements
RNs and LPNs must complete 2 of the following every 2 years:
• 15 contact hours of continuing education related to nursing practice, including at least 1.5 contact hours in the prevention of medication errors.
• 320 hours of active nursing practice in the previous biennium which must be certified by the supervisor or designee on the Employer Verification section of the renewal application.
• Participation in 15 hours of approved professional activities documented and certified by the supervisor, client or manager of the activity, or organization on the Professional Activity Form obtainable from the Virgin Islands Board of Nurse Licensure.
